How to Find Who Logged into your Computer and When? :-
If you have Cunning or curious friends in your room or if you have multiple user accounts in your computer then this trick will helpful a lot. By using this trick you will track both network LogIn and Local LogIns. You can also know how many times those unknown users logged In and when?. The trick is simple all about How to enable Log On Auditing and enable track the LogIn.
This trick will work on all professional Windows Platform. The process of logon auditing is only going to work on the Professional edition of Windows. So logon auditing is not working if you have a Home edition Windows. This should work on Windows 7, 8, or even on Windows 10, although the screens might look a little different depending on what version you’re running.
Steps for How to Find Who Logged into your Computer and When?
Enable Logon Auditing:
Step 1: First open the Run Command and type gpedit.msc in the Text Box and press Enter. Then a window will open as Local Group Policy Editor.
Step 2: The open Local Computer Policy –> Computer Configuration –> Windows Settings –> Security Settings –> Local Policies –> Audit Policy. Finally policy window will open as follows.
Step 3: Now Double click on Audit Logon Events, then a Audit Loon events properties window will open as below.
Step 4: Then put a Tick Mark on Success and Failure Options and Click On OK.
Viewing Logon Events:
Step 5: Now go to Run Command and enter Event Viewer in the Text box and press Enter. Then Event Viewer window will open.
Step 6: Then Navigate to Windows Logs –> Security category in the event viewer and Look for event ID 4624, which represents Successful LogIn Events.
Step 7: If you wants see more information about account logIn such as the user account that Logged in to your computer Double click on event ID 4624 and Scroll Down.
If your security log is cluttered, you can click the Filter Current Log option in the sidebar and filter by event ID 4624. The Event Viewer will display only logon events.
